Michael Bisping is getting the money fight that he’s been talking about since he became UFC Middleweight Champ, with Georges St. Pierre vs Michael Bisping finally set to takes place November 4th at Madison Square Garden. The fight has been a long time in the making and with Robert Whittaker injuring his leg in his interim title win over Yoel Romero the stars aligned to make this Bisping vs GSP fight that was announced last spring. The fight will be headlining UFC 217, which is set to be a major UFC pay-per-view that includes the Cody Garbrandt vs TJ Dillashaw title fight and fan favourites Wonderboy vs Jorge Masvidal.
The odds are out on Bisping vs GSP and they have already been moving as bets have come in on Bisping. I will look at the current odds from Bet365.com, our top rated betting site for UK residents, and also provide my prediction below.

My Pick
I’m personally going to be having significant action on Georges St. Pierre in this fight. GSP hasn’t lost a fight since 2007 when he was knocked out by a somewhat lucky punch from Matt Serra, who he would quickly win a rematch over and retain his belt. He’s a vastly superior MMA wrestler to Bisping and he’s an even better point fighter than the Brit, who has become quite a solid point fighter himself in recent years.
There are questions marks surrounding GSP, such as how he will look after four years away from MMA competition and moving up in weight class, but I’m confident that GSP would not be returning unless he was extremely confident in his abilities to win this fight. If you notice his comeback start really began when Bisping pulled off the upset over Luke Rockhold to win the Middleweight Championship. GSP’s eyes definitely got big as he knew this was his opportunity to come back and become a two weight world champ.
GSP is a very smart businessman who guards his legacy very well. At this point in his career he is only going to take big fights that he knows he can win. I am willing to bet that he will not fight for the welterweight belt until Woodley loses it, and I am also willing to bet that he won’t defend the middleweight belt even though he says it’s required in his contract.
GSP wants to cement his legacy as the best ever and he cannot afford a loss to do that. He has weighed the percentages and he knows that beating Bisping does the most for his legacy, while also having the least amount of risk.
I’m extremely confident that GSP will come in and do work en route to a 50-45 decision win over Bisping. The only chance Bisping really has is to get a knockout and although he was able to get the finish over Rockhold, that win was his first actual KO in his long UFC career. Rockhold took him lightly and made a mistake, something GSP won’t do.
I will have a ton of action on GSP and I think it’s a great play.
